Plum Jam/Spread

We get regular plums at affordable price here in Bangalore, but not so nice to eat them straight. They are very sour. So I usually grill them with a bit of sugar and butter. That tastes good.
This time I thought why not try something different and make it useful for spreading on the bread at breakfast.



I've used plums, jaggery, little nutmeg and tiny bit of butter to coat the pan.
Sauted the plums in the greased pan, added the jaggery and let it cook for a while till it looked like a spread, then added a bit of nutmeg for flavour. It stayed well in the fridge for a long time.
